It’s new years on the East Coast, but I’ve still got 3 more hours of 2012 left here in Cali. It all feels so surreal. On a commercial street in China, little tortoises are found packaged as souvenirs!!! These little tortoises are still alive and swimming inside a herbal solution. The store owner says it can live 1-3 months. 5RMB a piece. This is cruel and unacceptable. Who knows how many little lives were slowly suffocated to silent death, their fate sealed in a bag. Has the commercial world no other ideas to make money?! Please help share this. Hopefully some media or government will pick up this news and step up to stop this animal cruelty! Perhaps find the real perpetrator and put an end to such an uncivilized act. Please help save these little lives, small as they are, they are still lives.
